An audiologist is a healthcare professional who is trained to diagnose, treat and manage individuals with hearing loss and balance disorders. Aduiologists also provide rehabilitative services including the dispensing and fitting of hearing devices and counseling for the hearing impaired and their family members. Audiologists hold master’s or doctoral degrees from accredited universities and are required to complete a minimum nine-month, full-time internship and pass a national certification examination in Audiology.

The audiologists in our practice are all certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to practice Audiology and dispense hearing aids. Our staff is highly experienced in the evaluation and management of hearing disorders. We are trained to detect the nature of the hearing disorder and are qualified to determine whether amplification (hearing aids) or a medical referral to our affiliated company, Otolaryngology Associates, is most appropriate for your rehabilitative care.
