Many auditory and non-auditory devices - collectively known as Assistive Technology, Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs), or Hearing Assistance Technology (HAT) - are available to help people with all degrees of hearing loss. ALDs are for people who have mild hearing loss, but choose not to get a hearing aid as well as for people who need to augment what their hearing aids can do.
